Claudio Altafini is a Professor of Automatic Control in Linköping University, Sweden, since 2014. Prior to that he was a faculty member at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy. He received a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 1996 and a PhD in Optimization and Systems Theory from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden in 2001. His research interests are broadly in the area of modeling, analysis and control of complex dynamical systems. Over the years he has been involved with different applications, ranging from robotics to quantum mechanics, from system biology to multiagent networks.
