Riccardo Muolo

Postdoctoral student

Université de Namur

Riccardo Muolo studied Physics (BSc) and Applied Mathematics (MSc) in Florence (Italy). After having started a PhD in Systems Biology at VU Amsterdam (The Netherlands), he decided to go back to Applied Mathematics and joined the group of Professor Teo Carletti at naXys, the Namur Institute for Complex Systems (Belgium), as a PhD Student, graduating in April 2023, where he is now a Postdoctoral student. He will be joining the group of Professor Hiroya Nakao at Tokyo Tech (Japan) from October 2023.

His research is about synchronization and pattern formation on networks and higher-order structures, such as hypergraphs and simplicial complexes. His main focus is understanding how the underlying topology affects the global dynamics of the system.
