Dimitrios Oikonomou completed his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, followed by a Master’s in Data Science and Machine Learning at National and Technical University of Athens, Greece. Currently, he is a PhD student at Johns Hopkins University, advised by Prof. Nicolas Loizou.
Dimitrios is broadly interested in large-scale optimization and machine learning. His current research focuses on adaptive methods for minimization problems, with applications in deep learning and large language models.
