Researchers who are awarded MSCA Doctoral Network grants may apply for ELLIIT co-financing to cover the Ph.D. students during years 4 and 5. If approved, such requests can be funded by 1 MSEK per year and student (i.e., a total of SEK 2 million per doctoral student).
Requests for funding can be sent to Angela Sanseverino (angela.sanseverino@liu.se), either (i) within two months after the MSCA funding decision was made, or (ii) two months before the submission of the proposal. In the latter case a preliminary decision can then be made before the submission. In either case, the funding request must include a complete version of the work plan. Requests will be funded on a first-come, first-serve basis, within budget limits. The MSCA-DN grant must start in January 2026 or later and the PI must be part of the ELLIIT environment. Co-financing is possible for all types of MSCA doctoral networks, for doctoral students employed at an ELLIIT partner university during their entire Ph.D. study duration. However, co-financing is not possible for “industridoktorander” (doctoral students employed in industry).
