Funding decision has been made for ELLIIT Call G. It will fund a total of 20 new Ph.D. students running from 2026 to 2030. The initiative represents an investment of SEK 20 million per year over five years.
With a total funding of SEK 100 million, Call G aims to support innovative doctoral research within information and communication technology, with a focus on projects that address emerging societal and technological challenges. The funded projects will strengthen long-term research capacity across the ELLIIT partner universities.
Each research project within Call G will fund two Ph.D. students, and are as follows:
G1 – Learning Robot Control from Expert Demonstrations and Self-Experience
G3 – Coding for Secure Federated Learning
G4 – Sparse Neural Graphics Using Cross Vendor GPU Optimization
G5 – Federated Learning for Heterogeneous and Inconsistent Data
G6 – AI Frameworks for Hardware Security Verification Case Study: Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
G7 – Safety-Critical Intelligent Machines with Cloud-Assisted AI and Control
G8 – Spatio-Temporal Machine Learning for Inferring Gas Dynamics in Urban Environments
G9 – Machine Learning for Sensing in Distributed Wireless Systems
G10 – WASTENOMORE: Sustainable and Efficient AI-assisted DevOps for Complex Software Systems
