Dr Vlad Gonzalez-Zelaya is a Lecturer in Machine Learning and Data Science at Newcastle University, UK. His research interests are centred around Responsible AI, with a focus on algorithmic fairness and data privacy. He has developed several fairness-correcting methods for classification tasks based on data pre-processing, publishing his findings in journals such as ACM TKDD, and presented it at conferences such as ICDE, KDD, EDBT, and MDAI.
