Prof. Marcelo Azevedo Costa is with the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG/Brazil), currently as a Full Professor in the Department of Production Engineering. He is a collaborating professor in the Laboratory of Intelligence and Computational Technology (LITC), developing research projects in artificial neural networks and hybrid models. He is the coordinator of Decision Support and Reliability Laboratory (LADEC), developing research projects in economic regulation in the electricity sector. His research interests include statistical models applied to the electrical sector, applied statistical methods, network analysis, spatial statistics, time series analysis, artificial neural network theory and applications.
