Cooperative Predictive Planning Toward Vision-Zero Mobility

August 30 – October 1, 2027

Predictive planning enables autonomous systems to anticipate future events and make safe, efficient decisions under uncertainty. In multi-agent settings, such as connected vehicles and robots, effective cooperation requires communication-efficient methods that prioritize critical information despite limited resources. Vision Zero provides a compelling application area, where improved coordination can contribute to safer and more sustainable mobility. This focus period will bring together researchers in communications, control, machine learning, and human-machine interaction to develop new methods for cooperative predictive planning and strengthen ELLIIT’s contribution to addressing important societal challenges.

During the focus period, a number of international scholars interested in these research challenges will be hosted at Linköping University in addition to the regular ELLIIT faculty, postdocs and PhD students.

In the third week of the focus period (14 – 16 september) there will be a 3-day symposium on campus, with several invited top-level researchers. More information about the symposium, including list of speakers will be presented here later this fall.
