Ana Carneiro is a medical oncologist, and she works with a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, surgeons, dermatologists, and pathologists to treat patients with melanomas. Ana is also involved in a variety of clinical trials, ranging from First in Human to Phase III, and encompassing different tumor types/diagnoses. She serves as Medical Lead (Medical Director) of the Oncology Clinical Trials Unit and Early Phase Trials Unit at Skane University Hospital in Lund, Sweden.

Ana is also an Associate Professor and co-lead of the Network for Drug Development and Clinical Trials of the Lund University Cancer Centre. Her research interests primarily lie in the field of melanoma, immunotherapy of cancer and immune related side-effects and she regularly collaborate in several research projects with the Lund Melanoma Study Group and with the Melanoma Lab.
